About this Holiday House

Tui and Tide is a peaceful beachfront bach retreat set right on the shores of Pakawau Beach in beautiful Golden Bay. This quiet, relaxed home is ideal for slowing down, reconnecting and enjoying the gentle rhythm of the sea. The house offers two comfortable bedrooms, plus a bonus single bunk room in the sunroom which is perfect for children and you are welcome to use if you have additional kids with you (Note: Maximum of 4 Adults, or up to 6 guests if children are included in the group, as the bunks are only suitable for children). The bach is well suited to families or couples wanting extra space. Spend your days swimming, walking the beach or simply unwinding, then enjoy golden sunsets stretching across the bay in the evening. On clear nights, the moon rises low over the water, casting soft reflections that make Pakawau feel truly special. Pakawau Beach is known for its calm, swimmable waters, laid back atmosphere and natural beauty. It is a favourite spot for fishing and kayaking, where you can sometimes see kingfish moving through the shallows right in front of the bach. With a safe, family friendly shoreline, it is a place where families can play, or adults can fully relax. Whether you are looking for a quiet coastal escape, a family beach holiday, or a peaceful base to explore Golden Bay, Tui and Tide offers the simple comfort of a traditional kiwi bach, in a rare beachfront setting. Please note: ** This property operates under traditional Kiwi bach rules. Guests are required to provide their own sheets, towels and tea towels and leave the property clean and tidy at the end of their stay, all ready to go for the next guests, with all rubbish removed please. ** Beach access is via the sea wall, so please take extra care when heading down to the sand. As this is a beachfront property, care and supervision of children is of course necessary. ** There is a basic bbq available (please clean after use). Thank you for helping us care for this magical spot so it can be enjoyed by many for years to come. There is a fireplace to keep cosy in winter nights and the sea breeze to keep you cool in summer! Perfect for quiet families or couples : strictly no large groups nor parties or gatherings, please. ID is required upon booking
