I don’t mind old; I don’t mind rustic; I don’t mind a bit of fraying round the edges. I do mind unclean. It was; I didn’t use any of the facilities except for shower and loo - the shower stall itself was clean, as was the toilet; the surrounds weren’t. I used a bed of course; the sheets seemed ok; the pillows were very stained. I touched as little of anything as possible. I’m not a perfectionist; I’ve roughed it for a few years in my wee home built camper; freedom camping for the most part. You couldn't pay me to go back to the bach; and $80 per night is not good; even $50 would be pushing it. I’m sorry Ruth; I’m not going to lie, or lie by omission; and I have no axe to grind, I’m just telling it how it is, and I have photos to back myself up; before and after.

Amazing location in South Raumati, directly on the beach. It is your pretty rustic, untouched original kiwi crib (hence the price) and could do with some easy enhancements such as putting in clean carpets and a new sofa bed in the lounge.

What an absolute gem! We really enjoyed our stay at the little rustic bach with our two girls. The weather was poor but that didn’t matter, we had everything we needed. Great location with cafes in close proximity and a major shopping hub within 10 mins. We’ll definitely look to come back.
