About this Holiday House

Treat yourself to a getaway with your partner, friends or family in this absolute waterfront accommodation on stunning Kawau Island. Our cottage has an open plan kitchen and living area which includes a double bed in an alcove area, plus a separate twin bedroom and separate bathroom. The deck offers extensive views of sea and bush, and has a large bbq for cooking up your catch of the day. Some kayaks and rowing dinghies are available on request. BYO bait and fish off our private jetty :)

Surrounded by native bush with stunning views of Moana Cove and North Cove in Kawau Island. The outdoor deck is furnished and has a large gas BBQ exclusively for your use. Kitchen includes a freestanding oven and rangehood, plus a manual coffee maker (BYO coffee grounds).

Native birds, safe ocean swimming and boating, fishing, hiking in native bush, a wide range of native birds on and around the property. Jetty fishing, fishing charters, bird watching charters and ferry cruises are available to other parts of the island including the famous Mansion House built by Governor Grey, via Kawau Cruises and Water taxis.

Amazing setting. Great hosts with awesome knowledge about Kawau made for a stress free stay. Absolute paradise with a very chilled Kiwi batch vibe. Will definitely be back!

Kereru cottage is wonderful. It is bright, clean and comfortable- photos don’t really do it justice. We spent 10 days relaxing, exploring Kawau and neighbouring islands,- fishing, watching the eagle rays, walking, and swimming. Sharon and Rob are so friendly and helpful. The bird life is incredible, surrounded by kaka, kereru and weka, and the call of kiwi at night. It is definitely worth going for more than 4-5 days, time to leave mainland life behind, enjoying the peace and the changing tides. Highly recommended, we would love to return
