The southern end of the beach offers some amazing rock caves to explore, while the north end has a lovely lagoon for families with younger children to swim. Whiritoa is a hidden gem nestled conveniently between Whangamata and Waihi, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds. Relaxation without too many people and restaurant as well as boat ramps & supermarkets within 15 minutes drive. There is also a great takeaway and coffee shop in Whiritoa which is famous for its amazing hamburgers and fresh fish & chips, plus you can conveniently grab any grocery essentials you may need at the same time.
