About this Holiday House

A modern completely self-contained apartment, with wonderful views of Ohiwa Harbour, plus views of Whakaari Island. True North is a one bedroom apartment attached to the main house; however, it is a completely self contained with it's own private entrance. The living area containing lounge seating, dining table and chairs, heat pump, computer work station, coffee tables TV, Wi-Fi and radio. The kitchenette has a full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and cooking utensils. There is a BBQ area with a gas BBQ, swing seat and a quiet place to relax. There is a step free shower, toilet, heated towel rail, full size washing machine and dryer in the shower room. True North is a strictly non-smoking apartment.

Special Amenities

Wonderful views of both Ohiwa Harbour and White (Whakaari) Island. Quiet location surrounded by a reserve. The apartment is unserviced, but has extra linen and cleaning products provided. The deck has a coffee table and chairs. The BBQ area has a swing seat and is a lovely and peaceful place to relax.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

The Ohope Beach Golf Links is a 3 min drive away. Local shops and restaurants nearby. The Port Ohope Wharf is a 5 minute walk for fishing or Charter Fishing trips. There is stand up paddle boarding and Kiteboarding for hire a 5 min walk, Tauwhare Pa is a 6 min drive away. Many more things to explore.

This is by far the loveliest, cleanest and most comfortable accommodation we have had the pleasure of enjoying for a week in our 6 visits to beautiful NZ. The views from the harbor side windows at sunset are breathtaking, and the grounds are so green and inviting. The resident pheasant couples were fun to watch strolling around the lawn. Hosts were friendly, interesting to speak with, and very accommodating. My only complaint is we should have stayed longer, but that’s on us. Note: unsuitable for disabled due to stairs from parking area.

We had an extended stay over Christmas. It was absolutely fantastic! I couldn't fault a thing. Not only was it sparkling clean, every single amenity had been well thought out for a feeling of pure luxury when you stay. Also waking up to the view of the harbour is incredible and very tranquil. We will definitely be back!

This place is fabulous!!! We have had two extended stays here and look forward to returning soon! as The hosts who are very gracious and helpful have thought of so many little and big things to make a stay here more comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. The views are great; I especially enjoy the changing colors of the harbour all day long as the tide comes in and goes out. The beach is at most five minutes away and Ohope Beach is a fantiastic beach. The unit is furnished in such a lovely manner and is clean and bright. Comfy chairs on the deck under an adjustable awning are the icing on the cake. My husband and I highly recommend this place!
