Lovely place to stay, More rural than we first thought but absolutely worth it will note to be more organised for next time to save the trip to town. Peaceful quiet & the kids absolutely loved it feeding the pigs & walks to the river. We will be going back for sure

I was hesitant at first about booking this magical cottage decided not judge before trying it and guess what I definitely coming back. I think i have a thing for remote homes. Since still been unable to find one to match my Karamea experience , how ever absolutely no regrets at all. This will be our last night , my children are sad already to leave. We have been on many trips , from holidays home , camp grounds to cabins this by far my children have said their BEST stay ever. I promised them we would return on another trip since we are always in the Nelson/Marlborough region around this time of the year. Thank you Anna for been such a wonderful host , the communication I appreciate so much was consistent , the cottage even for 1900 was great even better having a view from each corners of the house , there were so many bonus's here are just a few to start with , the animals that my children loved hanging with and having access to the river for the kids. I would highly recommend Stonehaven to anyone who is looking at having a break from the city life , also for those who have families , it truly is tranquil , breath taking , i still can not seem find words to match how we felt so peaceful , relaxing , quiet and just breath taking views loved watching the colours in the sky change depending on the time of the day . I enjoyed my stay been a kid again with my children. Thank you Anna so much for your hospitality , I hope my 4 kids were not too noisy for any near by neighbours not that there were any near by hehe. Would highly recommend , also even more for those with a family and young children.
