Tuhitarata Cottage is the 1850s home of Angus and Mary McMaster on the historical Tuhitarata Estate. Set in its own beautiful gardens on the Tuhitarata Estate and bounded by 400 year old native bush, you can observe the magnificent dark sky of Wairarapa at night and wake to an incredible dawn chorus of native and introduced birdlife. The historical cottage has all modern amenities, 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed in lounge, a woodburner and an open fireplace for cosy winter nights. In summer, there is shared access to a beautiful secluded pool (available to our other cottage if occupied) and guests are welcome to enjoy the wider Estate gardens for relaxing in.
