Delightful rural setting in historic stone cottage handy to Alexandra. Facilities are in keeping with the age of the property but all functional and fine for a rustic holiday setting. Birds, rabbit and quail all provide evening entertainment in aged orchard environment, and the occasional fruit was delicious. Owners are responsive and helpful. After a 5-night break (in January 2026), we will plan to stay again in this unique property full of charm and character.

We really enjoyed our time in this delightful stone cottage. Lovely and close to Alex but far enough away to enjoy the peace and serenity of the countryside. The amenities are basic but very comfortable,clean and tidy. The step up to the shower was no bother to us but could be tricky for some. The barbecue was great and we ate dinner outside each night. We enjoyed some plums from the orchard. A highlight was sitting on the porch each night watching dozens of quail pass through on their way to their evening roost plus the antics of several bunnies. Excellent communication from the host. Would definitely stay again
