FIERY PEAK ECO-COTTAGE: is a unique experience being one of the few places you will find that is off-grid, eco-friendly & wifi free: it does not have electricity. It has solar, lantern, fairy lights & firelight. It offers uninterrupted peace, privacy, romantically decorated open space living with a fireplace & dry wood. It has breath-taking mountain views and star-filled skies (on clear nights). The low price of the accommodation reflects the simple nature of the cottage: eco - toilet, hand washing, simple cooking facilities, yet it is filled with special touches and luxury. The cottage currently has a solar shower however full bathroom facilities and wifi are available to use at the main house (between 7.30am to 9 pm).
Please note - that the cottage living/ sleeping open plan space is heated by a logfire - with dry wood and kindling provided. Where possible I will light the fire prior to your arrival in winter. The kitchen and bathroom are adjoining the open plan space but are more of a summer arrangement - full covered in but unlike the cottage not fully insulated - so can be a bit chilly over the winter months.

"This was probably our favourite night in New Zealand! Kay is great, so accomodating and even had home made breakfast ready for us. The property was extremely comfortable and warm and the stars at night were amazing and filled the sky. Thanks so much Kay!" John from Australia: July 2018
We stayed for a night during our break journey from Christchurch to Queenstown. When we were checking out, we regretted having not stayed a day or two more.

We had a WONDERFUL night in this brilliant cottage. We were up for hours playing board games and watching the stars. We couldn’t have asked for more from a night away. We were provided with a lovely breakfast and the cottage is on a fantastic property - we were both very impressed. Sheryl Sept 2018
