Great place and great people to deal with. Will be back.
Survivors
The house is listed as child friendly but there are very steep stairs with bedheads as the balustrade which definitely don't comply with the building code. The man deck balustrade also would not prevent a child from falling. The basement described as bedroom 3 was flooded and everything was rotting causing a terrible stench. There were rat holes in the mattresses. The bedding and the house in general was dirty. There was rat poo on the dining table. The accessible shower doesn’t drain. We ran out of water due to the intake pipe having been washed out by rain which took quite a few hours to locate and fix. The toaster didn’t stay down. The canoe had a hole in it and started sinking making it hard to get to and from the mooring. Lovely location and great fish filleting bench at the jetty but the house is sub-standard and NOT suitable for children. Not pleasant for adults either although the setting is lovely. Also no cell phone reception in spite of the owners saying there was.
