Nestled in the Canterbury high country Snowdon Station Shearers’ Quarters offers modern accommodation while still maintaining a rustic charm. Absolutely perfect for groups or large families.

In true high country shearers quarters style there is a large open plan kitchen and dining area with a superb log burner, a separate TV nook makes for the ideal kids area too. The rustic charm of the unique bathroom facilities included, 3 showers and toilets available, all private.
The Master Bedroom has a queen bed and a single bunk bed. (Sleeping 4 in total). An ensuite also. The Two Bunk Rooms each have 3 single bunk beds (Sleeping 6 in each room, 12 in total) Linen is optional and we encourage the easy use of sleeping bags for the bunks (Kids will love them!) There is the option for further sleeping arrangements on enquiry.
A hot tub is available (additional charge) and a perfect way to unwind whilst taking in the stunning mountain views.
There is something for everybody at Snowdon Station. It has a long history, much of which has been preserved by the family. There is an informal museum, which reflects the activities and interest of the people who have lived and worked here. Well worth a look.
Animal lovers can visit the farms' pets, you can even feed Wilbur the Pig.
There are a number of ski fields close by including Mt Hutt, Mt Olympus and Porter Heights. Lake Coleridge basin offers plenty of recreational activities like walking, tramping, mountain biking and great fishing.
Terrace Downs Resort with its magnificent views is a short 3-minute drive and offers an 18 hole golf course and restaurant or cafe dining if you don't fancy cooking in the well-appointed kitchen at the Snowdon Shearers' Quarters. Discovery Jet operates on the Rakaia only a 5-minute drive away for the thrill seekers to get their fill.
