About this Holiday House

Kavera Beach house is across the road from the beautiful white sands of Kavera beach and lagoon. There is direct access to the beach which is less than 50 metres away, with shops, transport and tourist attractions all within a short walking distance. Kavera District is within the village of Arorangi, on the favoured western side of the island, which is sheltered from the prevailing trade winds, and enjoys the magnificent tropical sunsets over the lagoon. Kavera beach provides safe swimming for adults and children and is private and secluded, ideal for lazing on the beach and exploring the lagoon. Within a short walk is the Aroa Marine Reserve, which provides some of the best lagoon snorkelling in Rarotonga, and is safe for both adults and children. Snorkelling gear and Kayaks are available for hire at the dive shop located at the local shops which are less than 100 metres away, and also include a general store and petrol, takeaways, a craft and produce market and bus stop. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes within close proximity including the Cocoputt Alehouse and Waterline, who both have live music, and the Shipwreck Bar. The property has direct access to a local inland lane, which winds its way through the taro and other plantations (kids love the chickens and the pigs), and eventually up towards the mountainous interior of the island. It is great for walking and cycling, with very little traffic and provides an insight into the pace and style of local island living. A hike up Raemaru, the mountain which overlooks Arorangi, is always worthwhile, providing majestic views of the island. Cars, motorbikes and pushbikes can all be rented nearby, and there is a bus stop just outside, for the buses which travel regularly to and from the main township of Avarua, which is 7 kilometres or about 15 minutes away at island pace. The Punanga Nui market held in the township each Saturday morning is a great place to buy local produce and crafts, and Friday is the busiest night in town for those looking to catch some of the island night life. The property itself is set on a flat quarter acre site, and is fully fenced for privacy, providing a secure sanctuary to enjoy holiday living in a relaxed setting among the tropical gardens. The house has a covered verandah, which has comfortable lounges, a barbeque and a dining area, providing the best of indoor outdoor island living. It has a well equipped kitchen, a washing machine and dryer. Wifi is available, and there is a Smart TV, Blu Ray DVD, and blue tooth speaker. The house has been set up specifically for holiday living.

Kavera Beach house is a beautifully presented and well equipped house. The garden area is spacious and one of the best I've seen in Rarotonga.. It's very conveniently located, with a store several houses away and several food outlets (e.g., The Falafel Shack and Beluga Cafe) ten minutes walk away. The house fronts on to Rarotonga's main road, which we found a bit noisy because our group live in very quiet locations and are not used to traffic noise. Apart from that the house was close to perfect.

The house was great—spacious with a beautiful, fully fenced backyard. We really appreciated the bathroom and beach towels, reef shoes, and snorkeling gear. It's modern with a fancy feel – great style, guys! Plus, there's a big sofa and an outdoor deck perfect for kicking back. Communication with the owner was a bit lacking with regard the gate entry pin, but a quick call to the manager Fiona resolved it upon arrival. We were also disappointed that the third bedroom wasn't made up as requested, which was a pain to deal with late at night with 2 tired kiddies. Overall, we loved the house and felt it was worth the extra cost for such a great holiday rental. Plus Fiona, the mananger is a dream to deal with and very quick to pop over when we needed it. Thank you :)

Described well if anything the pictures undersell the property. another Aircon unit down the single bedroom end would be amazing but you dont go to raro to cool down ! Fiona was great and very helpful

Thank you for your positive review. I agree it’s time to update the photos to show how the property has improved. We love the privacy of the garden. Fiona is a gem and we will pass along your comments. Hope you return in the future. Kia Manuia
