Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

It's a short stroll through the sand dunes to the beach where you can swim, surf, fish or walk for miles and explore the fossil cliffs further up the beach. Also nearby there's a children's playground, skate park, a patrolled swimming beach, cafe, golf course and grocery stores. Whanganui's picturesque heritage town centre is a 10 minute drive with lively artist studios and Saturday market. A 1 to 1.5 hour drive will get you on to the Turoa Skifield or to some of New Zealand's best surf breaks.

Great location. Has everything you need as a base for exploring the region Quiet at night bonus for a person who live rurally. Sue & Roger are very considerate hosts.

If you are looking for a place to stay do not miss the chance to stay here it is superb and you will not be Disappointed it is a lovely older batch and has some super features, plenty of room for the kids to run around and just a short walk through the sand dunes to the beach. l cannot wait to come back here for another visit and if you need to drive into town it is an easy drive in, and the views from the cottage are fantastic and just relax and enjoy your time here.

A really comfortable place to stay for a visit to Whanganui. The house has absolutely everything you need for a short or longer stay. Thanks to the great care the hosts have taken and a warm welcome it was a very easy and pleasant place to stay.
