Idylic Log cabin & adjoining chalet overlooking Lake Rotoehu. This private holiday home is situated on 12 acres of lake front with its own private jetty. A perfect spot for mountain bikers with 2kms of private mountain bike or walking tracks with an outstanding downhill. Natural hot springs are a short drive away (3km) This is the perfect place for a fantastic winter getaway and a great summer location for fishing, waterskiing & all that the lakes and surround of the Rotorua district have to offer.

I’m a bit conflicted writing this review because, selfishly, we don’t want Rotoehu Holiday Haven to become too popular! Jokes (mostly) aside, we absolutely loved every minute at this amazing bach. You can feel the love and energy that’s gone into this 50-year-old, family-owned gem. It’s not perfect—and that’s what makes it perfect. The patchy phone signal and peaceful isolation only added to the experience, as did the open fireplace. Huge thanks for making it pet-friendly—our Chocolate Lab adored it. We’ll definitely be back!

Very happy holiday. Peaceful place. We read the book about the holiday house.walked the track around the house. Soda hot pool is not far away it is a surprise
