Explore our rugged coastline beaches and the ever popular Lighthouse and Seal Colony Walkway. Bike-ride the Kawatiri Coastal trail from Westport, to Carters Beach, to Cape Foulwind, to Charleston. Coal Town museum will give you real history of the unique West Coast. Take a day trip through old mining towns to Karamea, Oparara Arches and Heaphy Track. Great dining just a short walk, at our local Star Tavern. Fishing, swimming, surfing, horse riding, 18 hole golf course, mountain biking, jet boating on the Buller River. We have the Solid Energy aquatic centre in Westport for year round swimming and full gymnasium.

Cottage very comfortable & clean. Great views. Good spot for walkers & bikers with the Kawatiri trail close by.

A great spot to stop for the night on Kawatiri cycleway. We were 2 couples so had Steeples Cottage and next door studio which worked out really well. Generous breakfast provisions were provided by hosts. The view over the sea was stunning from the cottage.
