Kawatiri Cycle trail on doorstep. Magnificent coast-line walkways just minutes away. Underworld adventures for cave rafting, glow-worm tours, limestone train rides. Explore our rugged coastline beaches and the ever popular Lighthouse and Seal Colony Walkway. Bike-ride the Kawatiri Coastal trail from Westport, to Carters Beach, to Cape Foulwind, to Charleston. Coal Town museum will give you real history of the unique West Coast. Take a day trip through old mining towns to Karamea, Oparara Arches and Heaphy Track. Great dining just a short walk, at our local Star Tavern. Fishing, swimming, surfing, horse riding, 18 hole golf course, mountain biking, jet boating on the Buller River. We have the Solid Energy aquatic centre in Westport for year round swimming and full gymnasium.

A great spot to stop for the night on Kawatiri cycleway. We were 2 couples so had Steeples Cottage and next door studio which worked out really well. Generous breakfast provisions were provided by hosts. The view over the sea was stunning from the cottage.

Lovely spacious, warm and clean with such lovely views. Generous owners who provide tasty breakfast supplies. Just a hop and a skip to the walkway and cycleway which was wonderful. Comfy bed too! Highly recommend:)

Wendy and Wayne's cottage was simply wonderful. The cottage was spacious, clean and the fully equipped kitchen had everything needed to be self-sufficient. The bread and fresh eggs for breakfast were a real highlight, as was the stunning view. Our only disappointment was that we weren't there to enjoy it for longer.
