The usually deserted Hannahs Beach (apart from driftwood) is a spectacle in itself with the sea one day being very calm and the next a torrent of raging waves (swimming not advised)! Whichever way you drive to get to The Cookhouse, down the West Coast or over the Haast Pass from Wanaka, you will enjoy spectacular mountain, bush, sea and river views, including many walks and sightseeing adventures.
