Modern, open planned beach house with a large, sunny and sheltered north facing deck. Includes a heat pump, rinnai gas hot water, modern appliances and fixtures as well as Wifi! The beach house has a very spacious modern bathroom as well as two good sized bedrooms.

Special Amenities

Sea views from the kitchen and deck. Right beside a children’s playground and backing onto a reserve. Very short walk to the beach, ( patrolled in summer ) The Point Café and Bar and shop. Close to nature walks and a tennis court.

Gateway to the Catlins, including the Nugget Point lighthouse and natural wonders including yellow-eyed penguins at Roaring Bay, sea lions at Surat Bay and the famous Purakaunui Falls.Short drive to Papatowai, Cathedral Caves and McLean Falls.

Great base for exploring the area. Very nice 2‑bedroom house with all essential amenities. The kids loved being so close to the playground and bush walks. I’d recommend stocking up on food and drinks before you arrive, as there isn’t a lot of choice in Kaka Point, and bringing your own drinking water – the tank water was fine for washing but not ideal for drinking.

Great spot to base yourself to explore the area. Host communicated well and helped with our requests. Stock up on food and drink supplies before you get there as there is not alot of choice in Kaka Point.

The home was well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and its proximity to the area's stunning scenic highlights—like Nugget Point—made exploring easy.
