About this Holiday House

STRICTLY NO SMOKING INSIDE AND NO DRUGS ON PROPERTY. Relax in my spacious (2800 sq ft) family home in New Zealand’s number 1 resort town. My home is great for skiing or summer holidays, bringing together families or groups of friends. It comprises 2 large living areas, 2 bathrooms (including large spa bath) and 4 toilets. The house is tastefully furnished to a high standard and fully equipped with Yunca fire, 42 inch LCD TV, DVD player, stereo system, microwave, dishwasher and laundry facilities. To fully appreciate the stunning unobstructed panoramic views I have also provided a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture on the large rooftop balcony with view across beautiful Lake Wakatipu to The Remarkables” mountain range. So come and stay in my “home away from home” and enjoy the activities, restaurants and night life Queenstown has to offer. A large house perched up on a hill with amazing views. Actually, amazing views from almost every window. The roof top space had a BBQ and outdoor setting which was perfect. It had a very homely feel and you really didn't want to go anywhere. The fact that it was well away from the busy centre of Queenstown made this an extra special place. Thanks Trevor for your warm welcome.

This house has the most awesome views. Friends that were staying on the lake marvelled at our views. Was amazing to watch the amount of snow changing everyday. Just beautiful. The house suited our family group of 8 really well. Trevor was worried us West Australians would be cold but the heating provided ensured we never were-loved the fire. The main rooms (lounge and kitchen/living areas) are very spacious. The kitchen is well supplied with all you need to cook for yourselves. The only negative is that I think the house is in need of some TLC. Just little things that don't impact on your stay but might soon. Don't expect five stars because it is not but this is reflected in the price-one of the cheapest houses in Queenstown and very much worth it. We were very spoilt with snowfall on our last day. Was awesome to make a snowman just outside our house! Recommend you get a hire car.

Spacious and well-equipped, with a really good kitchen, and a decent music system, not just a TV. The roof terrace must have the best view in New Zealand! Another bonus is that there is a really outstanding restaurant and bar nearby, called 'Vknow' (say it thinking of wine...). Trevor, your host, lives in an apartment below. He is very helpful, but never intrusive. Some minor things like the hallway carpet were a bit tired looking (January 2013), but overall it's well-appointed. Recommended.

THE 3 NIGHT MINIMUM IS A LOCAL COUNCIL RULING AND I ALSO SET A MINIMUM AMOUNT PER STAY OF $850 TO MAKE IT VIABLE AFTER TAKING INTO ACCOUNT CLEANING AND RUNNING COSTS.
THE LONGER THE STAY AND BIGGER THE GROUP THE MORE ECONOMICAL I CAN GET THE PRICE.

I DO HAVE SOME PREFERENCES SO SOMETIMES THE 3 NIGHT MINIMUM WONT BE APPLICABLE BUT ITS WORTHWHILE STILL ASKING. FOR EXAMPLE;

1) DURING SKI SEASON AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ESPECIALLY I PREFER 5 -7 NIGHT STAYS WITHIN SAME WEEK RATHER THAN SPLITTING 2 DIFFERENT WEEKS. THIS ALLOWS CONSECUTIVE BOOKINGS TO RUN TOGETHER BETTER AND ALLOW ME TO DO CHANGEOVERS/CLEANING ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY BEING DAYS OFF MY OTHER JOB. OTHER TIMES OF YEAR THIS IS NOT SO IMPORTANT.
2) XMAS/NEW YEAR (MIN 6 NIGHTS)
3) EASTER (MIN 4 NIGHTS)
4) JULY SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (MIN 6 NIGHTS)
