Tongariro National Park

Zinky Base has two bedrooms, an open plan living, lounge and kitchen area and a seperate bathroom with possibly the best shower in National Park - (ideal after a hard days skiing or tramping). There is also fantastic mountain biking close-by including The 42nd Traverse, Fishers Track and the outstanding near-by Pines Mountain Bike Park. Recently opened was the Old Coach Road Track which is an awesome walk or ride from Ohakune to Horopito. This track is part of the new National Cycleway and you will be able to ride to the Bridge to Nowhere this summer once the new track is opened. Zinky Base is just 15 minutes from Whakapapa Ski Field and 40 minutes from Turoa.
