Word Cafe Raglan - Readers and Writers Festival, May 10-11 2013 accommodated the out of town authors at Plantation house. The authors and Megan Singleton, Blogger at Large sang the praises of hostess Rosie Worsp and were reluctant to leave after the divine Sunday Brunch provided by Raglan chef Mauro Palazzani. Thank you Plantation House and Rosie for your extraordinary hospitality and style.

Our family loved Plantation House. Even though the weather wasn't good it was very atmospheric with the huge Californian palms blowing in the breeze, the wild sea view, and us relaxing by the woodburner. The interior was lovely and reminded us of Raffles in Singapore - next time we will bring ingredients for a Singapore Sling! Beds comfortable too. Thank you.

Thank you for the chance to stay especially at short notice. Friendly owners. Absolutely brilliant place. A beautiful house to stay, relax and take in the surrounding beauty of the harbour. Enjoyed every minute, reading, fishing, the photo opportunities, the garden, the warmth of the fire, the family being together. We shall treasure the memories. Have found a new family holiday spot. Will be recommending to friends for sure.

Presented exactly as it advertises. Didn't want to leave. A hideaway in what does feels like a "plantation" or plenty of actitvity just a short walk away. Well worth a visit to escape to another world for a weekend.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your fabulous Crab Rock house. It was quite the best Christmas we’ve had for many years. And since my birthday is between Christmas and New Year we loved cooking a feast in your fabulous kitchen. We have celebrated a few birthdays overseas – the White mountains in Spain, a castle in the south of France - but I loved Crab Rock house the best!

What an amazing place. Exactly what you'd want in a batch. Incrediably cute, fantastic views, private, quiet, clean, loads of magazines, very comfy beds with quality linen, friendly and professional owners. There were even fresh flowers there for us! As soon as you walk in the door you know you're in a special place, it has a great atmostphere and you can tell there have been many happy memories made there. Rosie has collected some beautiful things and with true style she has put them together to create the perfect 'escape to the beach' kind of batch. Its at the top end price wise but worth every penny. We had such a great time. Many thanks

WOW! A huge thank you to the hosts that allowed holiday planners to experience something this special! Although the pictures on the web serve this piece of paradise well, the actual experience does it the justice it deserves. Not only tastefully decorated, if offers the comforts that one would desire in a ‘home away from home experience’. For my husband and I, we especially loved the fact that we could enjoy the cafe culture in a mere 10 minute stroll, knowing that we could return to our very own private retreat with views to die for. Thank you again, we will be returning!

Tastefully decorated with all the comforts of a beautiful home, in a restful setting with views - I'm not sure how much better it gets! With a stoked fire, and plenty of dry wood, electric blankets and warm comfortable bedding, there's no need to worry about being cold even on a wintry day. I will recommend this property to my friends and family and rate it highly as a place to return to.
