About this Holiday House

Egmont Downs - Totara Lodge is a fully self contained cottage with access by steps. Sleeps up to 6. Bedroom #1 - 1x queen bed & 1x single bed. Bedroom #2 - single bunks (built in) & 1x single bed. All beds are suitable for children and adults (bunk beds are slightly narrower than a normal single bed). All bedding is supplied. Bathroom / Laundry - 1x toilet, 1x shower, 1x basin, 1x dryer & 1x washing machine. All linen and towels / face cloths are supplied. Fully fenced section. No carport or carshed. Outdoor seating & table. Tank water supply (please be vigilant with usage in summer) Surrounded by fully native gardens, view of Mount Egmont and farmland.

Great property with all the amenities you need, a short drive from Mt Taranaki. Much recommended!

Property is private with a view of gardens and close to the owner Viv who has lovely to talk to and ensured our stay went smoothly. The place was clean, comfortable and has the basic provisions including milk etc. It was a good base to visit/hike mountain or other attractions nearby. The accommodation is close to the main road, so expect road noise if you are not used to it and maybe wear earplugs. It is also rather close to major power lines/grid, so again if sensitive to EMF may like to reconsider your stay. Overall though a good stay and excellent value for money

Thanks for your comments. Although abit of road noise may be heard would just like to mention that the house is actually over 30 metres away from road surrounded by trees and shrubs and the pylon/wire is going across a farm and at the closest point would be over 250 metres away. Both distances have been measured.
