The fishing is great just off the beach or bring your boat and explore the entire historic Kaipara harbour. There is a boat wash down area on the property and two close by boat ramps, the closest can only be used at high tide. The main ramp is a 4 min drive. Guest access All areas except locked shed under the house Other things to note Tinopai doesn't have a water reticulation system so we have a rain water tank so please be conservative with water. As our septic tank is a treatment system, please only use eco cleaning products which we provide. Also to keep our worm farm happy (treatment system) don't put citrus peelings etc down the sink incinerator. All other organic material is ok. Somethings to note, last grocery and petrol stop is in Paparoa (30 mins from Tinopai) prior to reaching us however we suggest for better deals you shop at Wellsford, Kaiwaka or Maungaturoto (40 min) supermarkets. Dargaville is a 50 minute drive. A must visit is the excellent Kauri Museum at Matakohi (20min). Plenty of rock oysters at low tide and also smallish sea cockles.
