About this Holiday House

Kauri Kottage is a 3 bedroom fully refurbished Kauri Villa built in the early 1900's. Originally located adjacent to New Zealand's oldest wooden lighthouse it was moved to its current site in 1956. Museum like interior but with all the modern conveniences.

Wow what an amazing place to stay! Not only the location but the house has everything that you would need for a stress free vacation. Everything from the use of a garage, beer fridge, bikes, filleting bench and electric fires at the click of a button. The attention to detail on the restoration of the house is amazing. We will definitely be coming back for future stays.

Pouto has been on the bucket list for ages and it was better than expected! Kauri Kottage was exceptional to top it all off! The “kottage” has been lovingly restored with some quirky features. Everything has been thought of and it is so well appointed. The owners were fantastic to deal with and communication was prompt. A walk to the lighthouse is a must. Only 90 minutes each way. Stay at Kauri Kottage and explore our wonderful backyard.
