- Quiet setting at the end of a no exit country road but very close to SH2 and Tuapiro Point.

Location is ideal for a day at the beach, the hot pools, exploring bush walks, checking our local arts and crafts, cafés and restaurants. Katikati Mural Town and Avocado Capital of NZ is just 7 minutes drive away. Home grown vegetables can be supplied for a fresh summer salad with your barbecue. Tuapiro Point, at the end of the road, with stunning views of the Tauranga Harbour, is only a short walk away and perfect for a picnic and a swim. For a great breakfast or lunch, the Orchard House Café is just down the road.

We appreciate the ethos of the hosts & their property. Immaculate Bach, fully equipped, beautifully maintained. Location is amazingly central to a variety of beaches; Tuapiro Point, Waihi Beach, and Kauri Point -with safe swimming spots, places to kayak or fish- or tourist attractions; Waihi Gold Mine, Waikino Train. A "must do" is a picnic in the Karangahake Gorge & walk through its tunnels...highly recommend taking a torch to do the "Windows Tunnel Walk", its a family friendly & free activity.
We were greeted by our host as soon as we arrived and were given a genuinely warm welcome, accompanied by a fresh bowl of fruit & fair trade chocolates, instructions on how to use the spa, along with "things to do & see" in the area should we wish. The hosts were very helpful (when we had enquiries) and yet still remained respectful of our privacy. It was definitely a wonderful way to end our holiday & begin a new year. Would love to stay there again in the future!
