Our drying room is for serious drying - room enough for everyone's gear to ensure you are ready for another day of mountain adventuring. Ruskin Chalet is a modern Ohakune chalet, situated in the heart of the central plateau. Our location is in the middle of the action - across the road from a great river walk, and equidistant between the junction night life and the town’s supermarket. In summer you can chill out with the BBQ, and enjoy the ambience of the evening sunset. Ohakune is an excellent all year destination - walk, mountain bike, fish, ski, golf, kayak or just sit and chill in the great New Zealand outdoors, but with all the comforts of home. Biking - then lock up your gear in our wood shed. This is a great biking base with easy access to the Old Coach Road and the 22 or so other surrounding tracks.
