Days could be spent on the harbour (directly across the road) kayaking, kite surfing, collecting shellfish, floundering, fishing at high tide and swimming. Ohiwa Tides is a 3 minute walk to Bryans Beach, popular for long lining and drone fishing. A safe swimming beach, perfect for boogie boarding. A dog friendly beach for long walks. Onekawa Regional park loop walk is next door and so are the glow worms. A short 10 minute drive to Opotiki, 30 minutes to Whakatane.

Right across the road from the water! Fenced section that my small dogs could roam in. We were even visited by a family of Wekas. Everything you could need for a budget friendly getaway.
