Located 22km north of Kaikoura in the small settlement of Rakautara this camp is the prefect place to get away from it all and enjoy some true kiwi outdoor fun with the family or a group. If you are looking for a standard house or bach then this isn't it! This is a true kiwi experience with all the great things that go with it including a bunkroom, mattresses on the floor and plenty of room for a few kids tents. There are 2 separate buildings on the property with an ariel picture denoting them in the photo gallery. Building 1 includes an 11 bed bunkroom, 2 freshly renovated bathrooms and the large kitchen. Building 2 is a large open hall with an additional 15 mattresses, a lounge suite, TV with freeview and a table tennis table. You will have the entire camp to yourselves with access to the ocean just across the road and lots of room for the kids to play, ride a bike or set up tents to "camp out" in a large outdoor areas. There is a large covered deck attached to the southern end of building 2 and a smaller deck on the north east corner with amazing views of the ocean. The ability to get away from the hustle and bustle of town and enjoy the outdoors and space as well as swimming, fishing, throwing a cray pot off the rocks or snorkeling at your doorstep sets this place apart. In addition, if you prefer a dip in fresh water, the Rakautara stream at the end of our driveway has a lovely swimming hole to freshen up in and for the surfer, the legendary Maungamanu surf break is only 5 minutes away. If your looking for somewhere to spend time with family and friends and want more than just a house, then this is a gem which opens up so many options for creating memories for a life time.
