Clunead has a fabulous location – just a minute's walk to beautiful Bream Bay. You can swim, surf or play on the beach or walk for miles along the beach in either direction. If fishing is your thing, bring your gear. If it’s wet, there are games to play, jigsaws to puzzle over and an array of books for young and old. Or watch a DVD – we have a collection for all ages. The house has a heat-pump to cool in summer and heat in winter. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher. For coffee lovers, there is a Nespresso coffee machine. BYO Nespresso-compatible coffee pods. The master and second bedrooms have electric blankets. All beds have mattress toppers and are very comfortable. BYO sheets and towels. The lounge has a TV and DVD player and comfortable sofas. The large flat back lawn is great for playing outdoor games on. Some are provided, along with boogie boards for body surfing. There is an outdoor table and chairs and gas BBQ. This is an area with some interesting history and fascinating places to visit in close driving proximity – Waipu Cove and township at the far end of Bream Bay with a fascinating museum, Waipu caves, and the Marsden Cove marina. Whangarei has plenty to offer: gardens, walks, and museums. Ruakaka also has some excellent cafes and restaurants near by. Marsden Village is about 100 minutes from Auckland (CBD) and 30 minutes from Whangarei. The village centre is 2 or 3 minutes away by car. It includes a supermarket, bakery, takeaways, pharmacy and a cafe. IMPORTANT NOTES: * We no longer employ a cleaner. You will need to do your own cleaning when you leave, ready for the next guests. * There is no provision for a linen service. If you are travelling from far afield and cannot bring your own linen, please send an enquiry anyway and we will try to accommodate you. * We may impose a minimum number of nights' stay over long public holiday weekends or the Christmas holidays - but please make your inquiry anyway. Special conditions: Number of Guests: Although the house sleeps 7, due to limited facilities it is not suitable for large parties of adults. Maximum number of adults is 5; mixed adults and children is 7. There is an extra person charge for more than 4 adults. This does not apply to children. Pets: Definitely NO pets over the Christmas holidays due to the tight turn around times between guests and the high number of children staying. At other times, please ask.
