Just 200m from the estuary and set back off the main road in a quiet sun trap, this home promises you and your family a wonderful easy holiday. Cross over the estuary and you’re at one of the safest and most beautiful beaches in NZ. With 3 bedrooms, separate bathroom and toilet, there is room for a maximum of 7 people. The fully equipped kitchen opens directly out to the outdoor entertaining area which boasts sunshine all day but there’s also a chiminea to cuddle around if the night is a little cooler. If you’re planning a winter escape there is even a cosy wood-fire in the lounge. For the boaties there is room to park a boat with launching over the road, or 10 minutes from Tutukaka public boat ramp, or you can enjoy waterskiing etc at Ngunguru. There’s even a fish filleting station for your freshly caught snapper or kingfish! (We have bore water outside so plenty of room to wash gear down at the end of the day.) There are some beautiful coastal walking tracks and Sandy Bay is only a short drive away for the surfies. Whale Bay is also a ‘must-do’. Nearby Tutukaka boasts several restaurants and cafes, local shops and drive trips to the worl-famous Poor Knights. 700m away from Matapouri store which does great takeaways until 7pm.
