Tucked away on the western slopes of Kakanui our bach is a perfect spot to pop down to for a quiet weekend away or longer holiday. Perfectly situated to make the most of the sun and the westerly views out to the Kakanui ranges the bach is a real wee sun trap, and avoids the easterly winds that can ruin an afternoon on the eastern (seaward) side of the hill. Courham cottage has recently been renovated to add a lounge and upstairs master bedroom but still retains that original, old school bach vibe. So relax on either of the sun soaked decks or in the spa pool and enjoy the stunning sunsets looking out over the Kakanui ranges. W are sure you will enjoy the the views and location; hidden away from the bulk of the village, it really is a hidden gem. Courham Cottage provides a clean, modern and comfortable place to enjoy Kakanui and to base yourself to explore the surrounding Waitaki district. At the end of the day there is nothing better than unwinding in the spa pool while enjoying the sunset, or looking up at the Southern Cross and other stars. We hope that you enjoy our home away from home as much as we do. Our bach is child friendly and we have some toys and games for the kids. There are three bedrooms; an upstairs master as well as two smaller (original) bedrooms with a queen bed in one and a single bed in the other. We also have a sofa bed in the lounge and a couple of swabs available for beds (or to lie out on the decks on) as well. Our bach is warm and cosy, the windows have been replaced with modern double glazed joinery and on colder nights the log burner keeps the place cosy and warm. Hot water is provided by instantaneous LPG gas. The drive provides off road parking with enough room for 2 vehicles. For the those who want the complete holiday experience there is a cleaning service and linen available. Special conditions: Smoking allowed outside only. Our prices are for a 2 night minimum stay.
