About this Holiday House

Our self-contained , double-glazed, fully insulated compact cabin is well appointed. It stands alone on our lifestyle property, private from our house with fabulous views to the Remutaka Ranges. There is plenty of room for parking right next to the cabin and a outdoor dining area with a BBQ. Relax in the outdoor ~bath~. We have 3 donkeys, 2 dogs and a cat.

We are a 10 minute walk to Featherston town (supermarket, restaurants, cafes, hotels and our popular cheese/deli shop). Tarureka Estate is a short stroll away. Martinborough (vineyards, cafes, restaurants) is a 12 minute drive and Greytown (fabulous shopping, cafes and restaurants), 10 minutes. The Remutaka cycle trail is close by. Wellington is a 50 minute drive from Featherston or catch the train and enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Wairarapa before you enter the Remutaka tunnel.

Cosy Cabin is a modern, private studio with charming furnishings. It has a lovely rural aspect with mountain views. It had everything we needed for a weekend away. The weather was 26–28°C and windy, so the mosquito-netted windows were perfect. I hadn’t realized there was no stove (my mistake), but the BBQ saved us—we cooked ravioli and veggies one night, meats the next. We’ll have to return to try the outdoor bath. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Cosy cabin is well named! We especially enjoyed the donkeys and the cat, and the outdoor bath was a real treat. Inside, the cabin had everything we could need. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks Tracey!

Nice quiet tidy place to get away for the weekend. Love seeing the donkeys :) Got to use the bath this time and it was soooo good to relax in after a long day out doing walks. Thankyou for the snacks too!
