This sheltered, spacious and sunny holiday home has great views and is walking distance to the Thermal Pools, with shops, cafes and bars at the end of the crescent. Despite this close proximity the crescent is very quiet and tranquil. New and architecturally designed, 22 Rutherford offers all the comfort you need for a relaxing stay. Wake to mountain views from the master suite. Relax on sun-drenched breakfast and evening decks, and enjoy the well-appointed living and bedroom wings. Enjoy spacious indoor living across three levels with a double height lounge capturing all day sun from the east, north and west. Take in views of Conical Hill, snuggle up in front of the fire, watch the big screen TV, or prepare your favourite food in the fully equipped entertainer’s kitchen. There is something for everyone at 22 Rutherford – but the pièce de résistance is the mezzanine master bedroom and luxury ensuite, with gabled ceilings and views, and a balastrade overlooking the double height lounge. The bedroom wing has a spacious entry, glass hallway and high mono-pitch ceilings. A second bedroom is well appointed with a Queen or twin-share option. A large bunkroom has a large TV and double three-high bunks, sleeping six, for kids or teenagers to retreat to (giving adults some space). Ladder (pending) access to a platform hideaway is for kids only - strictly no parents allowed! Outdoors relax on one of two large decks. The sheltered north deck is nestled between the two wings of the house, opening with access from both the north and the bunkroom – the perfect spot for a morning coffee, afternoon siesta or for kids to play. Or enjoy afternoon sun or an evening BBQ on the western deck adjoining the living wing from the kitchen/dining area. Both decks have dining tables and bench seats. There is plenty of room to park and store the bikes or skis in a purpose built outdoor storage shed. This is the perfect house and location for your getaway with family or friends. This place was great! I loved the modern design, especially the double height windows in the lounge. Also the eco efficiency of the house was incredible, lounging around in a T-shirt whilst it was 12 degrees outside. The kids loved hanging out in their own space in the cool bunk room but the spacious lounge was so lovely for family time as well. The hot pools, groceries and cafes were a couple minutes walk away. Have to say I really didn’t want to leave this stay, both the location and house made for a very revitalising break - will definitely be back!
