About this Holiday House

Welcome to Bulwer Holiday Baches! If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind and enjoy fishing, walking and biking with family and friends, then Bulwer Holiday Baches is the place for you. Beautiful Waihinau Bay, Bulwer, is ideally positioned at the end of the Pelorus Sound and faces east towards the warm morning sunrise. We have two baches for you to enjoy, all surrounded by lush native bush and home to many species of native birds. Bring your family for a holiday or rent all four baches for a larger family group and friends. You can have the entire bay to yourself while still having the privacy of your own bach. Only 10 minutes boat ride to the Cook Strait to enjoy the open sea fishing and diving with a short return back to Bulwer. Alternately enjoy the pretty secluded bays of the Pelorus Sound. The baches can accommodate couples or family groups with bed configurations by arrangement. Moorings are available however there is no jetty.

An amazing tranquil place to spend our summer holiday! We arrived and it felt like an island stay NZ STYLE with absolutely beautiful landscaping! A true kiwi holiday in the sounds and plenty of room for two families. The baches are authentic kiwiana baches that are well looked after and hsve absolutely everything you need including comfy beds. The lodge and lodge kitchen were the perfect base for the families to eat together and the kids to hangout and explore. Bulwer cones complete with its own local seal and family of huge stingrays which were an added bonus. Absolutely perfect for boating - great bay for wakeboarding and not far to some epic fishing spots and a mooring for the boat. Maree and Mark were perfect hosts, friendly and and helpful, lovely to meet them . A great summer adventure in the Sounds!

A true Marlborough Sounds experience. Accessed by boat from Havelock was easy. Two families had more than enough space we were able to come together for meals at the lodge area and yet have our own space in the baches. True NZ baches but the little touches in each bach were awesome and they all had plenty of everything you need. The grounds at Bulwer are incredible, beautifully landscaped. The local seal and stingrays (HUGE!) were an awesome extra. Perfect stay for relaxing, adventuring and heaps of boating. Maree and Mark were amazing hosts!! Thank you for a great summer holiday!
