Night rate INCLUDES pre check, and post stay cleaning and premium linen.***** Large comfortable holiday home with plenty of space and wood fire. New double glazing and new carpet throughout house. An ideal home for 2 families or extended family. You’ll love my place for its location, relaxed ambiance, fully fenced garden, log fire, & full kitchen. 1 min walk to coffee cart & organic grocer, 3 min walk to brewery bar, bike path to front gate, close to bike/walk tracks, cafes, lake, ski fields & national parks. Use of locked garage - room for one car, access to three point plug for EV trickle/grannie charging - BYO leads. Garage provides secure storage for your bike & skis etc. Full laundry, washer, dryer, clothes racks for drying ski clothes, outdoor clothes line. Wood shed (axe to make kindling, and wood for log burner). Off-street parking for several cars and boats at rear. [**April-June 2024 no car parking available inside garage**, gear storage ok] This place has space to really relax. Two sleeping areas - main area upstairs with four bedrooms and the loft, which is an internal access bedroom / rumpus room with sofa and small DVD player. Great for school kids and teens or a whole extra family. Put the little kids or oldies to bed while big kids stay up late. Two tidy full sized bathrooms, both with showers, one with separate bath. Enjoy activity or relaxation. BBQ and outdoor patio with sun umbrella, beach chairs and picnic gear for the Lake, outdoor games, several bikes + helmets suitable for lakeside path or biking to town, trail maps for hikes, and a 2-3 person kayak for summer use + life jackets for use only on the lake. Three council parks - two right next door, one with toddlers play area. A fantastic all-ages kids playground in third park accessed across the road. Extras to suit a family group of 10: two DVD players, Chromecast and Freeview TV in main lounge, unlimited fibre Wifi, rumpus/entertainment area in loft bedroom, board games, DVD library, books, a few toys, extra stools, large outdoor table and benches to seat a crowd. Fully equipped large kitchen for self-catering for 10 and a some guests. Second fridge/freezer in garage if required. Full laundry. Child safety equipment & amenities: Fully fenced and gated. Fireplace guard. Plug covers in bedrooms. Bath toys, small set of kids toys. DVDs for preschoolers. Range of small-sized life jackets for summer use of Kayak. Plastic bowls, plates, cups, small people cutlery (Also ask when you book about stair gate, door safety latches, bibs, plastic spoons etc, these can be left out for your use). Fantastic ski pad: Lovely warm house – relax by the wood fire or flick on the gas heater; read a novel or grab a movie from our DVD library/or stream on wifi. All bedrooms heated, electric blankets, winter duvets and rugs for all beds. Summer relaxation: Long shady veranda, private screened BBQ area with plenty of outdoor seating and well established fully fenced garden - great for summer relaxation and BBQ after a day at the lake. Disabled Access: No bedrooms on ground floor (all require use of stairs). However, easy access to spacious living area including lounge, dining and kitchen and one bathroom. Electric Vehicles: You are welcome to use trickle charge (3-point plug) while parked in the garage. There are three public charging stations in Wanaka, and one in the Cardrona valley. [**April-June 2024 no car parking available inside garage, charging still ok**] Notes: The Queenstown Lakes District Council requires a 3 night minimum stay for holiday homes in Lake Wanaka. Very comfortable and roomy and well appointed. I wanted to come back just to use some of the DvD collection. We used the main house for our stay, and had extended family come for a night and use the loft.
