THE GARDEN The heart of the house is outside. A solar-heated pool, a lovely 28 degrees in summer, fully fenced and safety compliant. A new jacuzzi for long evening soaks. An infrared sauna in the garage, which warms your body directly instead of heating the air, so the heat feels gentle but works deep into tired muscles. A pergola-covered table and a barbecue for long lunches, sun loungers, a day bed and a hammock on the balcony. A WINTER ESCAPE TOO This house is just as good in the cooler months. Soak in the jacuzzi under the stars, then come inside to the wood burner, fully stocked with firewood. Central heating and a heat pump keep every room warm and cosy. A LIGHTER FOOTPRINT The house runs on solar power and the pool is heated by the sun. We are keen gardeners: there is an eco veggie garden, fresh herbs and lots of fruit trees. Help yourself to whatever is in season. There is also a high-speed EV charger on site. THE HOUSE Open-plan living that flows out to the deck. A large modern kitchen with a generous island, an espresso machine and everything you need to cook for a crowd. A 65-inch TV with Netflix and a sound system. Air conditioning, HRV, double glazing and full insulation, so the house is cool in summer and quiet all year. Unlimited high-speed fibre wifi. THE BEDROOMS Four bedrooms: one with a king bed, two with queen beds, and one with two king singles that can be joined to make a king. Bunks in the garage give extra room for the kids. Two bathrooms, including an en suite with a rain shower and a main bathroom with a bath. All linen and towels are included in your booking. THE SETTING A quiet cul-de-sac, an easy walk to two beaches and to Browns Bay village with its cafes, bars and restaurants. Long Bay Regional Park is five minutes by car. Auckland city is around 25 to 30 minutes' drive outside peak hours, and the airport around 45 minutes. Albany, Milford and Takapuna are all close by. PERFECT FOR COUPLES AND FAMILIES Whether it is a romantic getaway or a family holiday, the whole house and grounds are yours alone. The kids love the pool, jacuzzi and day bed. GOOD TO KNOW Because the pool is heated by the sun, it is at its warmest through the summer months. The jacuzzi is hot all year. Please note: we have a 3 night minimum stay.
