Stairs not suitable for small children. Coal range provides heating and cooking plus heats the wetback for all hot water. 2 ring gas burner. Back up gas heater in case of extreme cold. Indoor and outdoor toilets. Stream-fed water supply must be drained during the winter and is to be filled on arrival via a valve system inside the bach and from tanks up from hut. Water supply can be frozen at times in winter. Very important - coal range cannot be lit until tanks are filled. Solar lighting with a back up generator. Some experience with generators desirable. Cell phone coverage is patchy but good at top of hill after a walk. Due to fire risk, absolutely no use of candles.
