About this Holiday House

Fully self contained, north facing, very comfortable 2x bedroom bach on waterfront with incredible 180 degree views overlooking the sea and the river. Once you've stayed here you'll be like all the other guests before you and want to return ... Ours is a superb setting to sit back and enjoy the view, either from the sheltered deck or sitting inside behind the large double-glazed window watching the ever changing view of the water, along with the fishing boats heading out and returning with their days's catch. Magic ... Self check in ... check yourself in with the lockbox at the front door.

Special Amenities

A very relaxing bach ideally suited to couples (but definitely not restricted to). Being north facing the house catches all day sun, and for the cooler Riverton days when you're sitting inside behind the large double-glazed window there's a fantastic fireplace (along with plenty of wood and coal to burn) which ensures you'll be toasty warm while still enjoying the ever-changing view that our place offers !!

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Riverton is well known for its very safe beaches, and not so well known is More's Reserve which has several easy bush walks and excellent views of Riverton itself and from the Lookout at the top of the bush walks you can see Colac Bay and Stewart Island. A 2 minute drive will have you at the supermarket (open 7 days) and the Beach House cafe is also either a 2 minute drive or a short walk along the waterfront; and of course there's other eating options in town as well. Nearby Orepuki, also has a very nice cafe worth a visit. You won't be bored staying at Rosie's.

Great spot with a wonderful view and very cosy. There during a wintery blast but the fire compensated for the cold. Very comfortable beds and chairs. Some steps down to the toilet and bathroom could be difficult to elderly but we did it okay even at night.

Was disappointed and saddened for you with the terrible weather Southland put on while you were at ours, but was very happy you made use and benefitted from the fire - it's a top guest that refills the wood box Ross, appreciated that.

A gorgeous place for a holiday. The views are amazing and the house is cosy, well set up and very tidy. Great communication from Rosie. A magic spot!

The view at Rosies is amazing, in all weathers. We loved our stay weather wasn't great, but the cosy fire kept us warm, and the sun lounge was a perfect place to sit and admire the scenery. The house was very clean and well provisioned. Rosie was a great host and communication was very good. 10 out of 10
