About this Holiday House

The "Blue Bach" is located 12 miles north of Greymouth along the stunningly beautiful state highway 6 coast road. The Blue Bach sits on the hill side over looking the Motukiekie island. The view is stunning with a walking track to the beach below. We have a unique composting toilet system

Special Amenities

Situated on the hill side at the top of the 12 mile bluff the bach is surrounded by Pohutakwa trees. The Blue Bach overlooks the Motukiekie Islands and Tasman sea. Opposite the bach is a walking track to the beach below and islands located a short distance from the shoreline with amazing rock formations and sun sets. The beach is private and secluded with many rock pools and fishing spots to explore and enjoy. Our bach has a composting toilet.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Driving distance to Greymouth is 20 minutes south to Punakaiki north of the Blue Bach is 45 minutes. The Blue Bach is nicely situated to enable trips to Greymouth for dinner and evenings activities or the Punakaiki to rivers for swimming and pancake rocks. Ideal for families or a quiet get away for two, privately located with access erectly to house. Fishing spots on 12 mile beach and swimming all 5 minute walking down the track to the beach below. Special feature is a composting toilet and an eco friendly environment. Check in time 2.30pm check 11.00am

This bach was fully equipped with all that you could desire, including firewood, bedding, good sounds, & amazing views westward, towards the characteristic rocks, plus skyward, which proffered a spectacular view of the Milky Way. There was much attention to detail inherent in this beautiful haven.

Charming wee cottage, wouldn't mind living there except no internet/phone coverage, perfect for when you want to be off grid.
