An absolute gem nestled in the most exquisite surroundings. The hosts have outdone themselves in every aspect. You will be comfortable in your luxury cabin overlooking the ocean if you pick this accommodation. It's absolutely perfect.

Jacks Bay Retreat was one of the loveliest places that I have ever stayed. The cottage is very stylish and well equipped. Immaculate and sparkling clean. Lovely sea views with much thought given to guests comfort and privacy. The owners are lovely people and are there if you need them...and not if you don't. Fantastic communication throughout the booking process. Jacks Bay itself is beautiful and there is plenty to see and do if you just want to stay put. A very nice walk to the blow hole. The chance to see a yelloweyed penguin, fishing, rock pool fossicking, a lovely beach to walk on with regular sealions visiting. But this is also a great base to explore the rest of all the wonderful places that there are to see in the Catlins. I didn't want to leave. I'll be back. Thank you so much Helen and Peter

A perfect 1-bedroom cottage with all the necessities in an idyllic location with friendly, but not intrusive, hosts. The beach steps away, the property’s beautiful landscaping, the sunrises, the views - all spectacular. What more can a visitor ask for? We had a wonderful, peaceful four nights in Jack’s Bay. Our only regret is that we failed to book a full week.
