There is a private mooring and a path down to the waterfront through native bush. A new community jetty has been recently built just 400 mtrs from the house, giving great access to the water. The large sundeck affords a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the view. There is also a large lawn in front of the house. A dingy and two kayaks are available. There is good road access from Linkwater, where there is a good country pub and store which sells fuel. It is only a 20 minute drive to the cafes and bars of Havelock and the famous Portage Hotel in Kenepuru Sound. The house is set in 2 acres of mature native bush with glow worms along the driveway at night. The nights are dead still, except for the sound of morepork owls calling across the Sound. The moon rises over the water. A claw foot bath on the deck can be filled from the hot tap to provide a wonderful warm bath under the stars! There is a table tennis table upstairs, a half size pool table downstairs, and plenty of board games and books to read. There is Freeview TV, a DVD player, a CD player, and phone. Bring your own decoder to receive Sky TV. The upstairs lounge gives the kids a place to call their own, with a separate video player and mini music system!
