About this Holiday House
***Unlimited wifi from 28/07/21***
A quaint 1930's cottage on the edge of the forest. Small, simple and oh so cute! Well equipped for great family holidays or quiet retreats. Scarborough Terrace runs along the back of the original village. It's peaceful yet convenient location means you are within a leisurely stroll of everything.
Sited on a large, sunny section bordering Dog Stream Reserve. The front lawn is flat, and large enough for big family games. From the private back garden you have direct access to the forest, stream and trails.
The cottage includes a separate living room with a log burner and french doors to a deck overlooking the forest and accompanying bird life. The kitchen is very small and basic but well equipped.
The small bathroom is clean and tidy with a great shower and the toilet is separate and also new. There is also a small laundry area that you walk through to the toilet.
Inside the cottage are 2 bedrooms. Bed 1 has a Queen bed and the second very small bedroom has a comfortable double/single bunk set. The sleepout is very close to the house. It sleeps 4 in a comfortable queen size bed and single bunks. We have recently insulated and relined the sleepout and put in a set of french doors. It also has a very effective wall heater with thermostat and timer.
A good selection of games, books, DVDs and CDs are provided. There is also a PS2 with a selection of games for your use. This also functions as a DVD player.
Sports equipment is found in the garage, including cricket, volleyball and badminton. There are a couple of mountain bikes of various sizes you're welcome to use.
Generally we welcome pets, but please talk to us first. We are also happy to have tents on the lawn at times so please enquire.
Please note the property is not fully fenced and drops steeply into the forest at the rear.
