About this Holiday House

A cute one-bedroom cabin (sleeps 3 - 4) only 15 - 20 minutes from Whakapapa Skifield, or 40 - 50 minutes to Turoa skifield and 30 minutes to the Tongariro Crossing, the famous one day trek. Double doors and bi-fold windows open out onto the verandah where you can sit and sip coffee while looking at Mount Ruapehu. A comfy queen bed with inner sprung mattress and electric blankets. Bed-settee in the lounge with an extra foam topper and a single innersprung mattress (for an extra person). A woodburner with drying rack to dry out any wet gear. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, gas hobs, oven, jug, toaster and fridge. Flatscreen TV with freeview, mini-stereo system. Nice hot shower with decent waterflow. Make this your comfy cabin while visiting Mt Ruapehu or Tongariro National Park area. Plenty of skiing, snowboarding, tramping, mountain biking available in the vicinity. Note: no laundry available. CHECK IN after 2pm / CHECK OUT by 11am.

Great views of Mt Ruapehu and Mt Ngaruhoe on a fine day. Centrally located, a few minutes walk to nearest takeaway, ten minutes walk to restaurants/pub, cafe, service station / general store. Bike hire available around the corner. Also mini golf, and indoor rock climbing down the road.

Walk the famous Tongariro Crossing. Skiing on Mt Ruapehu (Whakapapa - 15 - 20 minutes or Turoa - 40 - 50 minutes drive). Hot pools in Tokaanu (30 - 40 minutes). The area includes lots of walks, mountain bike tracks, lakes. Pick up point for access to the famous Tongariro track.

Lovely comfortable cosy well equipped cabin, close to everything you need in national park village, ski fields, hikes, hot pools a short drive away too. Great communication with hosts, the Bach was perfect for our last trip of the year to the snow. Many thanks.
