From a woodburning stove with wetback and radiators, to insect screens on the windows; every aspect of your comfort is catered for. Drive on access leads to a flat area for parking. The private, golden shingle beach is accessed by a little path through the bush. Even at high tide there is ample room for picnics and small boats on the foreshore. Mahau Sound offers swimming, boating, waterskiing and fishing. The environs have good walking and mountain biking on the Queen Charlotte Track. Restaurants, bars and grocery stores are a short drive away on sealed roads. Kayaks & dinghy available.
