About this Holiday House
Tata beach is eight kilometres from Takaka, the main town in Golden Bay, New Zealand. Tata beach is renowned for its golden sands and safe swimming.
This bach (or beach house) has three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with firebox and large deck looking out to Golden Bay. There is a washing machine and dishwasher as well as stove, oven and microwave oven.
The rear of the house is sheltered from the prevailing sea breeze and provides easy access to a tidal estuary, perfect for boating or digging for crabs when the tide is out. An additional warm shower on the back deck makes it easy to wash the sand and salt off.
The bach best suits two or three couples, or families with older children, to a maximum of six people.
Designed by Nelson architect David Jerram, the house has won a NZ Institute of Architects Branch Award in 2003.
No pets or children under five, with the exception of babes in arms. Checkout time is 12 noon
