We had a great trip to Hanmer, but I wouldn't book this property again. The Pro's were it was a large property in a fantastic location, and the beds we comfortable but there was a lot of room for improvement to make it seem like the property was worth the high price tag. We stayed 5 nights and felt the property was not equipped for stays of that length. There was one towel for showering and one towel for the pools per person, two tea towels, one dish cloth and no cleaning cloths. This was not sufficient for a longer stay. There was a washing machine and dryer but they only provided washing liquid for two washes and the time for the washing and drying cycle to complete was extremely long. For example to dry of the towels after going to the pools it took 5 hours for 4 towels in the dryer. There was no rack to dry the items inside without using the dryer. There was a lack of kitchen equipment. There were only enough plates for the number of people that stayed and the dishwasher did not properly clean the dishes and the normal cycle was 2.5 hours. For a heavy cycle in the dishwasher it was 3.5 hours and it still left dishes dirty. For a house that accommodates large groups there are not enough bowls and dishes for serving, as an example there wasn't a pot large enough to cook pasta for our group so we had to cook in multiple batches. The hot water was also an issue at the property, there was not enough hot water for everyone to shower every day, even having very short showers we ran out of hot water every day. This was a real problem when you add to the fact that the dishwasher didn't work properly and there were limited plates and bowls. The underfloor heating in the main bathroom upstairs didn't work so it was very cold in winter in the bathroom. There were several lights with blown lightbulbs and overall the property was not well cleaned, the bathrooms were a bit grubby and lots of dust on surfaces. The TV's are not smart TV's so you can't sign into your own streaming sites which was a pain as there wasn't much that our group wanted to watch on TV so the kids found that to be a pain. Although not a requirement in a holiday home it's worth being aware that there are no books or games etc in the property. Overall it was adequate and it was comfortable and warm so we still had a good holiday but we were pretty disappointed for the price paid.

Lovely clean spacious house with quality comfortable furnishings. Wonderful location in Hanmer village - short easy walk to shops, pools and restaurants. The outlook from the big windows is wonderful! Two balconies, well-equipped kitchen and super-comfy beds!

House was fabulous, clean and well equipped. Location was spot on - couldn't have been better. House will definitely be on our 'must do' list if and when we return to Hanmer
