About this Holiday House

Borders Retreat is perfect for a romantic weekend, with or without the family. Situated on a private driveway, beautifully decorated and there is a cosy logburner to gather round in evenings. There are three bedrooms to choose from, the sumptuous mezzanine bedroom, the sunny garden bedroom with french doors out to the garden, or the twin bedroom with two single beds. The downstairs bedrooms can be closed off from the rest of the house so you can tuck up the kids and relive the days of your courtship! The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and is just a five minute stroll from the gorgeous cafes, restaurants and designer clothes shops from the village. We are also just a five minute walk from the new rail trail, which is a lovely walk/biking track for families. Also the cottage is only a 15 minute drive from the award winning vineyards at Martinborough and Gladstone. Borders Retreat is very cosy in winter, with all firewood supplied. Generous first morning continental breakfast provisions: museli, bread, local eggs, plenty tea, milk and fresh plunger coffee.

This is a delightful, character filled cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Really appreciated the breakfast supplies and lemon loaf - yum. Quiet street, walk to town or sit on sundrenched back deck and relax. We loved our stay. Thank you, S.
