There are a couple of issues that my partner and I would like to give some feedback on with this property. This may require some work by the owners to bring up to a safe and comfortable standard. The paving at the base of the stairs needs to be completed so there is a even and smooth transition from the uneven gravel driveway and the stairway. One of the stairways to the entrance of the unit has no handrail on one side so could be a bit dodgy for elderly or very young children. The front door does not lock. The mattress on the bed is past its use by date. It was very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom could do with an extractor fan. The unit was very clean and tidy and warm with an outstanding view over the bay. Overall we were happy with this accommodation and would stay here again if they fix the bed.

Beautiful place for holiday and relaxing in Stewart Island. About 10/15 minutes walk to the Oban township and half moon bay wharf.Very handy to book activities and look around.Fiona and Heath were very helpful in picking us up/dropping off to the ferry and giving us useful information. If you want to see how NZ was when discovered first, visit Stewart Island.

If you love the quite and peace that nature gives you this is the place. Beautiful bush full of a variety of interesting birds. Very friendly Kaka to keep you company. Accommodation ticks all the boxes. It is within 10 minutes walk from township. Very comfortable furniture and bedding. Most things that you need are provided. Everything was really clean and fresh when we arrived. Heath was super friendly and helpful with great advice. Really loved our stay and it was too quickly over, Would thoroughly recommend it to any visitors to Steward Island
