About this Holiday House

Hi all - just quick up date on things. A great summer so far. Please check out the Calendar it's up to date. Thank you all for your support. All the very best for 2022. A tantalizing view of the lake can be seen from the house and deck. The lake which is just down the road is extremely popular for trout fishing, water skiing and swimming. The houses in the area are surrounded by trees and so there are an amazing amount of birdlife and the nearby bush walks by the lake are lovely. The Tokaanu Hot Pools are a short drive away as is Turangi with its cafes and climbing wall. Taupo is 45 minutes away, a scenic drive around the lake. Or you could just relax in our Bach playing a game or watching your favourite video. Mountain hikes such as the famous Tongariro crossing, or the crater walk on Ruapehu are a short distance away. There is even a croquet and petanque pitch across the road - 3 public tennis courts nearby too. Great value for a Lake Taupo/Central Plateau location and handily midway between Auckland and Wellington, Omori Lake Lodge is a cosy, gas heated, Lockwood style holiday home with 3 bedrooms. We have a modern kitchen with a gas hob and electric oven for your convenience. Book now do not be disappointed. Thank you.

Very comfortable house, all you need without being over the top fancy. Everything is there pretty much although we take most of our own stuff anyway. We have stayed here previously and are going back for a third time next month. Only negative really is mobile coverage, Spark is pretty hopeless, Vodafone somewhat better but still marginal for data usage. I see they are laying fiber in the area. A nice fast connection would be a plus for those of us who need to still work some, even when on holiday (sob...). Thanks for the great stay Sheryl & Nick.

Hi Trevor Glad you enjoyed your stay and we really appreciate your comments and suggestion re an internet connection- yes we see the fiber is being laid, and you are correct a fast interest connect would be the icing on the cake so to speak. We plan to check out our options once it is available. However we would probably need to bump the fee a little to justify it... Nick and Sheryl
It was ideal for a relaxing holiday. It has everything you need. Located in a calm n quite environment. We really enjoyed our holiday there.

This is a pleasant and very well equipped property. Basically everything is there, two bedrooms downstairs with loo & shower. Upstairs a double bedroom with en-suite. The living area is open plan but has plenty of room. A great deck area, partly covered and part open. This is no lake view to speak of, just a peak thru treetops. Just a short walk to the lake, not far from Omori boat ramps. We were able to swing into the drive with the boat on, nose the truck into the car port so out of the sun, then reverse out and drive out thru the gap in the trees all without removing the boat of the truck. Ideal and kept the truck out of the sun. Also room under the deck for a small car, again out of the sun. We have stayed at maybe ten houses in the area and would be very happy to stay here again.

Thanks Trevor It's a boatie's paradise wouldn't you agree, that refreshingly cool lake to swim, ski, wake board and kayak on. We have tried to develop the house over the years and yes we think it works well too. However it's great guest like yourselves that help us maintain, improve and provide it. Please do call again Nick and Sheryl
