Lovely spot, incredible view! I loved our stay here, the water pressure isn’t great, and it wasn’t super pristine - but not enough to worry about.. just obviously well loved. It’s places like this that make me smile, as you get to enjoy the character of the house and owners - which is the fun of travelling :)

We had such a wonderful stay. Helen and John were amazing hosts. They went over and above to ensure our stay was perfect. We loved the view, the pool and spa, the kayaks and snorkeling off the boat ramp. This is a wonderful holiday home and we look forward to returning.

Very disappointing. Beautiful spot but no way would we swim off the front lawn due to the pollution in the water from boats etc. We tried to put our clothes in the drawers in the bedroom but the drawers were either stuck or the bases were falling out. Cockroaches kept finding us on the floor or on the kitchen bench!! Bathroom- The pressure in the shower was only just enough to wash yourself . The shower curtain over the bath had mildew and a build up of soap along the bottom of it. the vanity drawers need attention. The bed in the big room was comfy, however the bed in the second bedroom sagged in the middle. The aluminium sills and frames on the windows in the bedrooms and in the kitchen were filthy with black mildew. Kitchen: The little benchtop oven -the tray at the bottom was full of dirty fat and grease. Platters had dead flies on them. Coffee was solid in the jar. No microwave dishes to use. No small sharp knives-only 3 large knives. There is very much a lack of power points in the unit. Every available wall was filled with furniture as well as other personal belongings stored behind the sagging couches. Obviously someone lives here and everything was stuffed away in the cupboards or behind the couches. We were there when the cyclone was going to hit Northland, and did some washing but there was no clotheshorse to hang washing. There were outside lines but that wasn't suitable in the wet damp weather. We enjoyed our kayak trip across the lagoon, but it was a mission to get started, We had to haul the kayaks out from under the deck and then try to find some life jackets for 4 of us. Turned out that there were not enough for us and the ones we did use were in very poor condition. The outside deck with BBQ is of one of the bedrooms and was dirty and cluttered It looked as though it had not had any attention for a very long time.Grime. mildew and dirty. Overall a very disappointing place to say, and not at all like the photos.
