Take the time to heal yourself at New Zealand's unique healing hot pools (Ngawha Hot Springs) and mineral spa, which are only a short stroll away from Ngawha Retreat and usually are open for public the whole year around.
Enjoy the spectacular views over Opononi, or see the mighty Tane Manuta - 2000 years old Kauri tree in the Waipoua Forest on the North Island's West Coast. Drive the other way, and have a fancy breakfast at Paihia - which is also only half an hour away. See the dolphins or visit the historic Kerikeri,- all before coming back to Ngawha Retreat in the evening and relaxing in healing clay waters of hot pools.
Ngawha Retreat is ideal for the curious traveller as the central base in the Far North for a short stay, just as it is perfectly suited to a group who wishes to undergo a healing course at the local hot pools over a couple of weeks.
